And by belated I mean REALLY belated… sorry.
So I meant to post this a couple of weeks ago when we got back to the states, but work and life got in the way. It also seemed like a huge undertaking emotionally to go through everything. But here we are. So when I last left all of you we had made it to Cork City and were on our way to one of the most amazing places I have every been. But made a stop or two along the way.
Blarney

Portmagee
(Very quick stop which was only the launching point)

Skellig Michael
What an incredible place and history (but not because of Star Wars).

Killarney

Kilkenny
(Pronounced KILL-kuhnee)

Dublin (cuid a dó)
(That’s Irish for part two)

We stayed in this castle. It was pretty cool, but we didn’t really do anything other than have a couple of drinks at the hotel bar and walk to get dinner. It was the last night and the rest of the next day was just going to the airport and flying home. I absolutely had a blast and would not have traded it for anything in the world. What an amazing way to spend our honeymoon. Tami put up with my driving (on the wrong side of the road and sitting on the wrong side of the car) with minimal complaints (couple of near misses here and there). We both got tattoos is Galway (she finally got her (mostly) matching tattoo) to commemorate a few different things. And I think (along with Tami) that our final taxi driver put it best: “You guys are still married and turned the rental car in-tact.”
Mostly I want to thank my incredible wife, who put the whole trip together and made sure that we had lodging and a vehicle, put up with my indecision through the whole trip, and only got frustrated a couple of times with me.
